Here's What to Expect for Our Sunday Services

Before the Service

Coffee, tea, and hot chocolate are available at the Coffee House anytime. You are welcome to bring your beverage (with lid please) into the auditorium.

Kid's Program

We call our kid's program Adventureland because it is a place where your children will find the adventure of encountering Jesus through teaching, prayer, worship, and relationship with teachers and other children. Adventureland is open to receiving children 15 minutes prior to each service. Please view our Youth section for more information.

Worship

We worship at the beginning of each of our weekend services. The picture of worship painted in the Bible is one of heartfelt expression to God; worship is expressed! People raising hands, kneeling, clapping, or crying during the music may be new for you. Yet these and other expressions are simply the natural reaction to God's presence. We want you to worship in a manner that's real; for us at the Vine, that means low-key, non-hype, heartfelt responses to the Living God!

We thank you for giving to God's work in Carbondale. Your financial support plays a vital part in expanding the kingdom of God through His church. We appreciate your continued faithfulness in tithing and giving generous offerings. If you are visiting and/or with us for the first time, please don't feel an obligation to give as the tithing and offering baskets are passed by you.

Teaching

We believe that the Bible is God's instruction manual for our lives. Many people who haven't read it much think that the Bible is really hard to understand, but actually most of it is quite clear. We teach things from the Bible like who God really is, why He sent Jesus, how I can learn to make it through life's problems - you know, the important stuff!

Prayer

At the end of each service, those who want prayer will be invited forward. Someone from our prayer team will be there to pray for you.

We believe that God is real and that He wants to help all of us with our problems. Nobody will pressure you to go forward to receive prayer, but if you have things you'd like God's help with, why not give it a try?! There's music while we're praying for people, so if you don't want prayer you can just hang out and enjoy yourself.

After the Service

Please feel free to hangout and meet people. We would definitely like to meet you. For parents, please pick up your kids at least 15 minutes prior to the next service.
