Hope and Healing
Sundays, 2:00-4:00 pm beginning January 22, 2010 in the North Building
Registration is at capacity for the spring session and has closed. The next session of Hope and Healing is scheduled for fall 2012.
We believe that God has given us everything we need in order to know him through the Bible and experience him through the church, but the Bible is so much more than facts and the church is so much more than a place to go on Sundays. God intends for the truths of the Bible to transform our minds, emotions, and actions all within the context of our relationships. This being said, we all face moments where the truths of the Bible don’t seem to make a difference. How can the Bible help my marriage? How can I overcome sexual temptation? How can God offer hope in the midst of anxiety and depression? How can I get over my past experiences of betrayal and abuse?
Hope and Healing is an intensive 14-week course intended to address these questions and more by applying biblical truths, walking with each other in a small group context, and actively asking God to help us work through issues of repentance, forgiveness, and endurance. Childcare is available for a reduced fee.
Hope and Healing is aimed at those who regularly attend Vine Community Church and are committed to a small group.
Besides devoting mental and emotional energy on Sunday afternoons, you will need at least 2 hours a week to complete the workbook.
