| What are Discipleship Communities? |
Discipleship Community (DC) is not just a once a month event to attend, it's a dynamic life changing community. You can think of the DCs as smaller churches inside the larger church. Within the DCs, extended Christian community is a reality: we learn together, heal together, and celebrate together. Within the DCs we take the Lord's Supper as a church family and perform all of the baptisms at Vine Community Church.
Currently we have six DCs; each is comprised of the Small Groups that meet on that particular week night. Each Discipleship Community will meet at the Vine for an Evening Service once a month, typically during the first full week of the month (check the calendar or the program for specific dates of upcoming DC Evening Services).
If you currently attend a Small Group you should go to the DC Evening Service that your Small Group is a part of. If you don't currently attend a Small Group, a DC Evening Service is a great place for you to check out several different Small Groups in one night.
Upcoming Topic: Becoming a Contagious Christian
Dates: September 1st - 9th
This month in our Discipleship Communities we are going to be talking about “Becoming a Contagious Christian.” Christians are often intimidated by the word “evangelism” and feel that they are going to have to become pushy or weird in order to share their faith with others. We are going to be talking about evangelism in a very different sense. Simply put, how can we become people who have a vibrant faith that others want to catch? Come to Discipleship Community this month to be stretched in your understanding of your role in Jesus’ mission.
